Creative Quarterly asks the question: Where does your inspiration come from? What person, place or thing inspires your work?

¶ By launching our new redesign we’ve become a much more interactive journal.

¶ We search the web for interesting projects in art and design to share with our readers. We ask our readers to share what inspires them.The purpose, not to copy but to inspire.

¶ Inspiration can come from an innovative chair design or an unusual ring or from an interview with a well-known designer or artist or something from ones past. We bring together the creative community like no one else.

Advertising

Below are the specs for advertising within CQ. To inquire about rates and schedule, please contact info@cqjournal.com.

Production of Printing

All materials should conform to SWOP (specifications for web offset printing). Advertising materials that do not conform with the specifications and requirements will result in additional production costs.

¶ Ads will be printed from computer to plate with a 4-color process only. If additional color is requested, there will be an additional printing cost.

Digital Ad Specifications

Only digital formats will be accepted. We accept TIFF, EPS or PDF/x files.

¶ Creative Quarterly will accept high-res PDF/x format files only (300–450 dpi). These files are to have all fonts embedded or must be PostScript compatible. No TrueType fonts may be used. Include both screen and printer fonts.

¶ TIFF or EPS Images should be SWOP (CMYK or Grayscale) between 300 and 450 dpi. If images have been enlarged in a page layout program, the dpi must be between 300 and 450 at their final, scaled measurement.

¶ Line art or 1-bit images must be at least 900 dpi at their final scaled measurement.

¶ All files are in CMYK or Grayscale formats.

¶ All bleeds must be .125" beyond the trim.

¶ Provide ads on CD or DVD.

Advertising Sizes

Creative Quarterly is a perfect bound magazine. Ideally, the focal point of the ad should not cross the center spine in double page spreads. To ensure cropping does not occur, keep all the ad’s relevant information within the live area.
